Mystery Drum

Hi George,

I found out about you from doing research online about Duplex drums.  I have a very old snare drum that Im holding for a friend of mine.   It is a nickel/chrome perforated snare drum from Duplex with a presentation badge on it.   It says “Presented to Mr V Platz by his friends and admirers July 3rd 1892.  Its a beautiful drum and appears to be all original.   Do you have any information you can share about a late 19th century Perforated Duplex snares or about Mr V Platz?
