The Nashville Drum Show is THIS WEEKEND!
We're busy making the final preparations... here's what's going on:
SATURDAY SCHEDULE:
At 11:00 a killer fusion group, The Bob Harsen Band, will kick things off - sponsored by Amedia Cymbals. At noon it’s the “Gretsch Show!" Fred Gretsch will unveil their new Broadkaster made-in-the-USA drum set. Also helping with this special debut are Director of Gretsch USA Drum Manufacturing Paul Cooper, Director of Product John Palmer and Product Manager Joe Mazza. At 12:30 Gretsch and Amedia Cymbals endorser Bob Harsen will present a clinic using the new Broadkaster kit. Saturday at 3:00 Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick fame and foremost vintage drum hoarder will be in clinic sponsored by Ludwig Drums and Zildjian Cymbals. Finally, on Saturday at 5:00 there will be a short reception for exhibitors, performers, special guests and VIP ticket holders. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
SUNDAY SCHEDULE:
Rise and shine! Sunday begins with a special performance by Kayleigh Moyer, one of Nashville's rising drum stars - sponsored by Mothertone USA and Sleishman Drums. At 12 Craig Crampf and the AFM All-Star Band featuring Jonell Mosser, Tom Britt and Paul Ossola will take the stage. Sunday at 1:00 local Nashville High School Drumlines will showcase their latest work - this is something you won't want to miss! Sunday concludes with a performance by Roy "Futureman" Wooten from Bela and the Flecktones, with ALL his brothers - Victor Wooten, Joe Wooten, and Reggie Wooten. This is a rare appearance of ALL the Wooten Brothers on stage! We're told that there are some very special guests that are scheduled to appear - I wonder who they might be? Roy's performance is sponsored by Mothertone USA and Sleishman Drums. The Nashville Drumline Showcase is sponsored by Innovative Percussion, Sabian Cymbals, Meinl Percussion and Mapex / Majestic Percussion.
