Growing up with 80's rock music in suburbia, I wasn’t exposed to much jazz. It was when I got older, and started reading drum magazines and studying with great teachers that I became aware of Tony Williams.
Wow! His playing is so dynamic, intense and exciting! It's so nice to have videos and YouTube to watch his playing!
As Miles Davis said, "A drummer like Tony comes around only once in 30 years."
