NSMD has rarely been about “news”. It has always been mostly about “old news” - our focus on vintage drums, custom drums, legendary drummers and related topics. We leave the news to the other drum magazines and sites. BUT we constantly receive news from sources: press releases, updates, news articles, new product releases, record reviews, etc. and have not had a practical way to publish them in a way that doesn’t distract from our stated mission.
Paul Rogne has offered a solution that I think will appeal to those who want to read the latest news about drums and drumming while at our site. He publishes Drumming News Network, a relatively new aggregate news site about nothing but drums.
We are adopting each other, so to speak. Paul and Drumming News Network will be our official news channel and he will be publishing a NSMD article every Wednesday on his network.
