Custom Drum of the Month - Bobby Rock Sistine Chapel kit

An oldie but goodie - This is the custom built Peavey Sistine Chapel drum kit produced exclusively for Bobby Rock, drummer for Slaughter, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Nelson, and others. The kit was custom hand painted and airbrushed by John Douglas www.johndouglas.com/ using images off of the Sistine Chapel in Italy. The kit has been in several magazines, drum clinics, videos, and has been toured all over the world. This was the flagship drum kit produced by Peavey to promote their drum kit line. Below is a picture of our own NSMD writer Phil Wilson sitting behind this very kit. He played it on a gig recently: "This past weekend my band shared the stage with another band at a local festival. The drummer for the other band had the drum set I knew as Bobby Rock's "Sistine Chapel" Peavey drum set. I could hardly believe my eyes. I saw Bobby play this set in the 90s and thought it was one of, if not the most beautiful set I had ever seen. I got Bobby to sign my shirt when I saw him play this kit at a clinic. He had crashed his van and still made it to the performance, and he played like a monster. The drummer for the other band let me play them for our show, and it was a thrill. He wouldn't consider selling them to me though."
