Jim Pettit is the owner of what I call “the most beautiful music store in America” - The Memphis Drum Shop, which is located in what was an old movie theatre in mid-town Memphis. It is also one of the largest drum shops. I am fortunate to be one of the private instructors at Jim’s store and consider him a great friend and kindred spirit as a fellow gigging drummer, drum shop owner, vintage drum collector and kibbitzer.
